Profile
Born in 2008, The Trend are six
incredibly diverse musicians with a desire to create a function band that
constantly meets the highest and affordable standards. They met due to
sharing a passion in funk, soul, rock and pop whilst studying a degree
in popular music at the Leeds college of Music. Now first class Graduates
from both the Popular Music and Jazz Degrees, the band have huge amounts
of performance experience between them.
The Trend mix up old and new using any and every genre to get people up
and dancing. Whatever the event they will cater to all needs and requirements
to make sure everyone is having the best time possible. The six piece
band can be complimented with any format including an additional 2 piece
brass section, a solo pianist or guitar duo for your drinks reception
and wedding breakfast, or a jazz trio to lighten the mood as your guests
enjoy their welcome drinks. The choice is entirely up to you!
A typical performance is for 2 x 50 minute sets with CDs/iPod when not
not performing so you have music from the moment the band is set up until
guests depart.
