The individual members of the band have been playing professionally, both in the UK and abroad, for many years and have honed their skills and sound working together.The band offers a selection from a trio upwards, and is the ideal choice for weddings, corporate events and jazz festivals.
Keyboards. Brian Melville - professional educator and musician with 30 years experience of playing in many venues in the UK and abroad.
Drums. Dave Thompson - very experienced having completed several stints as a professional in the UK and abroad.
Bass. Laurence Blackadder - a pupil of lan Anderson principal bassist- Scottish Symphony.
Saxophone…Jonathan Melville - outstanding and talented young musician currently studying at Nottingham University.
Vocals. Ronnie Walker - excellent vocalist in the mould of Frank Sinatra.
A typical Swing Thing performance comprises 2 x 60 or 3 x 45 minute sets with CD’s played during the breaks. The band are fully self contained with their own PA .
