| Being an entertainer was unavoidable for Kevin.
His father was a singer/pianist, his mother a 1950’s model and members
of his family have appeared in films alongside Richard Burton, Peter Sellers,
Michael Caine and David Niven. At around the age of five Kevin first discovered `the American song book `, singing Pennies from Heaven accompanied by his father, who’s constant renditions of Gershwin, Porter and Berlin were to leave an irreversible impression. By his early twenties, Kevin found himself in the company of and performing with other like minded aficionados. Their profound knowledge and musicianship helped forward his studies. These included American saxophonist Spike Robinson, John Critchinson (piano accompanist with Ronnie Scott), and bass player Lennie Bush, who sessioned on Frank Sinatra’s album `Great Songs from Great Britain`. Kevin has performed at a huge variety of venues, ranging from the top London hotels, The Institute of Directors, The Variety Club of Great Britain, corporate events (large and small), jazz clubs, weddings, stately homes, a palace, large hotel groups (UK and overseas), Southend Airshow and even at a premiership football match at Southampton F.C. He performed on the commercially released CD 'Jazz Essex Vol II' and his voice was chosen by the globally recognized composer Joseph O'Brien for a radio advert in the USA. With his immense stage presence, Kevin delivers his tribute in a sophisticated manner the great Sinatra deserves. He proves that when you possess the same impressive vocal ability as Sinatra, being a `lookalike’ is not needed to recreate Sinatra in his vocal prime and mature years. He performs effortlessly not only the less challenging songs but also the more vocally difficult. He uses only the highest quality live recordings of American big band arrangements or can be backed by anything from a piano upwards. Kevin’s band are high profile and award winning (UK and USA) session musicians in their own right and have performed with some of the greatest artists of our time including Tony Bennett, Liza Minnelli, Rod Stewart and Elton John. They have appeared on TV programmes such as Top of the Pops, The Big Breakfast, Johnny Vaughan Tonight and in numerous West End Shows including ‘The Rat Pack - Live from Las Vegas’. Celebrities and crowned heads of Europe are among the many who have enjoyed their wonderful talents. As an alternative to his Sinatra Show, Kevin can be booked to perform ‘American Song Book’/Swing sets or ‘Rat Pack’ sets, which he also performs on a regular basis, from a wide repertoire of songs. The performance can be as a solo act using live recordings of American big band arrangements or can be backed by anything from a piano to a full piece big band. The result of all this being a truly memorable experience. Selected clients and venues include: Princess Productions TV P & O Cruises The V & A Museum BP Oil UK Northern Trust Corporation I .C. I. | “Kevin is the best act we have
ever booked.” - B. Sidnell, City Group PLC “This young man has the most wonderful voice - and if I ever become famous I will have him on my TV show!” - Frank Carson, Comedian, Private Party, Sussex “Just a quick note to say thank you for an excellent nights entertainment on Saturday. Everyone that has spoken to me today has commented on how much they enjoyed the two sessions that Kevin performed. Like all tough crowds they were a little reserved at first but soon got into the "swing" (no pun intended). Hope you got back home safe and sound….Once again many thanks and look forward to seeing you soon” - D. Dawson, B.P Oil (UK) Ltd “I would like to thank you so much for helping make our Valentine Dance such a success. Your act is truly wonderful and I have had nothing but positive comments about you. I think you have a very special talent and do hope I have the privilege of seeing you perform again.” - Sue Ecclestone, Director, Hartismere Development Group, Suffolk “We wanted to say a huge thank you for helping to make our wedding
day so special. Everyone was raving about Kevin’s voice and we all
thoroughly enjoyed both his sets. Kevin, you are incredibly talented and
we hope your career goes from success to success - you deserve it. Please
keep us in touch with any public events you are singing at, as we’d
love to hear you (and meet you) again” - Clive and Aaron, Aberdeenshire |
