Rachel realised she could sing at
the age of 7, when at school she played the part of an angel in a musical
of ‘Noah’. Since that enthralling experience, she has been involved
in many musical events and sang in her local choir, all of which helped
to hone her vocal skills. It was during this period that she discovered
a passion for jazz, after playing the part of ‘Blousey’ in a
production of Bugsy Malone. Rachel soon started to work with a variety of
musicians and gained a valuable reputation as a session singer and following
her love of jazz, she started composing original numbers and it is this
passion, energy and drive, that has made singing her profession.
Her musical partner is guitarist Edison who is acclaimed as one of the finest
guitarists on the UK circuit. The Duo have individually and collectively
appeared on numerous radio and television programmes including; Pebble Mill,
London Tonight and Top of the Pops and have performed in venues across the
world. Equipped with her beautifully stirring, soulful and uniquely touching
voice and Edison's superb artistry on the guitar, the Rachel. J Duo is an
asset to any event.
A typical performance is for up to 2 hours of live music.
