| The Palm Court Theatre Orchestra is
the best orchestra of it's kind in the world, internationally acclaimed
for playing both Salon and Swing music with faultless style, unrivalled
ability and infectious good humour. Whatever the occasion, however unusual
the venue, the orchestra can provide a sparkling musical accompaniment. From a complete concert orchestra to a syncopated 20's dance band, a 30's Hollywood style dance orchestra to a 40's big swing band or alternatively, a genteel tea-room quartet for 'music divertissement', to their quintet or ensemble. All the music is original and authentic and each ensemble has it's own period stage setting complete with costumes, lighting and superb sound system. The Palm Court Theatre Orchestra has performed at all the most important venues in the UK and overseas, including a highly successful two month concert in the United States. Launching the Orient Express in London and Paris, the Queen's birthday celebrations at the British Embassy in Qatar and at 'Night of Stars' at the Albert Hall in London to name but a few more. The vast repertoire spans over 40 years of popular jazz, authentically performed from a rare library of vintage orchestral arrangements. The musicians are so versatile, they not only play the delicate salon pieces and classical swing arrangements - with effortless, musical ability - but have also developed a talent for singing, whistling, dramatic acting, fancy fox-trotting and exceedingly wicked tangoing! One minute - relaxing amidst Tiffany lamps and potted palms of an Edwardian country drawing room, the next - hoofing and crooning in the best Hollywood tradition, they recreate a golden age of musical entertainment with virtuoso musicianship, panache and excitement. From hot brassy Dixie to Sophisticated Swing, Palm Court provides a sensational musical centrepiece to any event. Their varied repertoire accommodates most occasions and the performance exceeds any expectations. They are perhaps the ultimate treat for you and your guests!! Palm Court are available from a quartet to a 22 piece orchestra complete with props. A typical performance is for up to 2 hours of live music |
