Profile

Funktonite started out in 1997 as "afrodizzyak (soul and funk to turn you on)", before replacing one bad pun with another in 2000. They are a London-based group of professional and semi-professional musicians who have played across the UK and continental Europe. The band are all in their twenties and hold an infectious love for the music they play. Funktonite have shared a stage with the likes of Fun Lovin' Criminals, Courtney Pine, Finlay Quaye and the Commitments, yet are equally at home playing at weddings and private functions and have a versatile repertoire which can be tailored to suit any occasion.

Their classic line-up, coupled with a great live show, demonstrates a well appreciated and explosive blend of soul and funk is guaranteed to thrill any audience. We dare you to find (with honesty) an audience with opposing views. The band can also provide a jazz option for receptions prior to the bands main performance.

A typical performance comprises of 2 x 60 minute sets with an optional 60 minute jazz set.
