| Dragonsfire is a trio or quartet of
remarkable versatility. Each member not only sings but is a multi-instrumentalist
and they play a huge array of instruments. Every piece in their repertoire
is arranged by a member of the group, making even the most well known song
into something new. They draw on early music, traditional British folk song
and light classical music as the basis for their arrangements, so their
repertoire is a delightful crossover of musical styles. All their performances
are marked by an informal, yet totally professional presentation. A Dragonsfire concert is a unique event. All the musical items are arranged by members of the group, so that even the best known pieces have a completely new sound. There is a delightful crossover of musical styles. As each member is a multi-instrumentalist, the group use anything up to fifty instruments in a concert programme. Depending on the programme and occasion, they will wear either formal concert dress, or period and colourful costume to enhance the chosen repertoire. They use beautiful vocal harmonies and an informal but informative presentation, introducing each item from the platform to explain the music and the less familiar instruments. As all performances are completely accoustic, the group can perform as wondering minstrels and engage your guests either inor outdoors. A typical performance is for up to 2 hours.
