The idea to form a new band, originated from a request from a television company for them to appear in a programme, hosted by Ann Robinson, based on American themes. The success of this appearance led them to rehearse a set of songs to take on the road. This was an instant success, as supported by subsequent bookings for shows and private functions. Their neat harmonies and tight playing of two guitars, bass, drums and keyboard, recreate the nostalgic feel of those fun days from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
The band comprise of six natural entertainers, all with a wealth of experience in the music industry. With several recording contracts under their belts and accolades from around the world. These musicians will bring their professional expertise to your event, ensuring a good time had by all. The show includes all the classic hits combined with some unexpected visuals. Superb entertainment whether you are a Beach Boys fan or not.
Previous clients include Channel 4, BBC television, Cardiff International Arena and Glaxo Smith Kline as well as performances throughout the UK and Europe.
The band usually performs up to 2 x 60 minute sets depending on your requirements and CD’s are played during the breaks. The band is happy to perform a selection of classic sixties hits as an optional second set. Due to the vocal harmonies involved in each performance, The Beached Boys prefer up to 2 hours to set up their PA and lighting before each event. Their PA is suitable for up to 200 guests and larger venues and performances can be accommodated.
