2001, by students of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and former
postgraduates of the Birmingham Conservatoire of Music. Cardiff based. |

| The ensemble originally received coaching through
the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's Chamber Music Programme from
professional chamber music players including Graham Oppenheimer, Penny Driver
and Richard May. It took part in chamber music master classes from International
Violist Lars Andes Tomter and the Tchaikovsky Piano Trio. The Quartet also
attended the Pro Corda National Chamber Music Academy in Leiston, Suffolk,
studying with cellist Liam Abramson and the Chillingirian Quartet.Previous
performances for the quartet include Ravel's Introduction and Allegro (for
Quartet, Clarinet, Flute and Harp) at Cardiff's Weston Gallery, Haydn's
'Emperor' Quartet as part of the Welsh National Gallery's Sunday Concert
Series, Mendelssohn's E Minor Quartet for a lunchtime concert series at
the Birmingham Conservatoire, and Haydn's 'Sunrise' as part of an appearance
at the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh. Previous clients and events include a Product Launch for Marks and Spencers PLC, drinks receptions for the British Society for Haematology and Hartham Park Associates, graduate balls for Birmingham and Manchester Universities, and a banquet for KPMF Films Ltd. The Ardeton Quartet has also entertained guests of the Welsh Tourist Board and Arts Council of Wales at the Hay on Wye Literary Festival. A typical performance lasts for up to 2 hours within 3 although extended performances can be provided on request. |
