Chris’s (the enigmatic band leader) compositions and arrangements are frequently played by Jazz FM, Capital Radio, B.B.C Radio Big Band and of course Five Star Swing! As a Piano/Trumpet player, Chris has appeared on B.B.C breakfast T.V, Top Of The Pops, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and The Royal Variety Show. He has toured extensively with the Herb Miller Orchestra (Glenn’s Brother), as well as Jazz festivals throughout the world.
Style is added to every performance from an exciting repertoire, featuring songs from Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Glenn Miller and Jazz favourites, through to modern day artistes - Robbie Williams, Jamie Cullum and Jools Holland.
Experienced in all types of functions and stage Shows, with excellent vocalists and musicians, Five Star Swing create the vibrant sound of the Big Band era.
A typical performance comprises of 3 x 40 minute or 2 x 60 minute sets
Line up & Options:
Drums, bass, keyboards/male vocals/trumpet, saxophone/clairnet/flute/female vocals, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone
Optional 2 piece brass section - 2nd alto saxophone and 2nd tenor saxophone
